Question:   How we have to communicate with the HR manager ⇒Asked By: Anil | February 23, 2009, 05:04 AM
Answer: The nature and mode of interaction with the HR manager depends on the purpose of the interaction which is not clear from your question. If you are wanting to apply in a specific company, you would need to approach the HR department personally to hand out your resume and seek an appointment with the HR manager. If it is during an interview, the HR head will want to understand your personality, strengths, weakness, interpersonal skills, team work skills, salary structure/ expectations, career goals etc. In a working environment at offices, the HR head is approachable given the nature of his job at handling people and there should be no difficulty in approaching him in case you have a problem or a query.
Question:   I am MBA student with finance and mkt speci. I WANT TO GET JOB AFTER COMPLITION OF THIS YEAR. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO FROM NOW ⇒Asked By: Prakash Saini | February 23, 2009, 05:00 AM
Answer: In preparing for work life, do start by acquiring an understanding of the market/different businesses, decide on the sector and the function you would like to enter (you could do this by interacting with people in different functions and companies, seeking help from a professional career planner, by reading about industries and by analysing your own skills, interests and suitability to a job), build on your skills of interaction, communication and team work. Do well at your academics and learn from the course all the relevant knowledge required both in acquiring a job and doing it well. Ensure that all your projects and internships are in the same area as your specialisation or the industry that you are finally targeting to work in. If the recruiter can see that you have consistently been following a specific trail they should consider you as a more serious candidate for the job.

Question:   MY ENGLISH CONVERSATION IS NOT GOOD HOW TO IMPROVE IT? ⇒Asked By: Ashish Joshi | February 23, 2009, 04:52 AM
Answer: English is largely the language used in the corporate world and therefore it is good to be fluent in it. There are a number of new language schools that help people hone your spoken English skills. Some of these are Inlingua, British School of Languages etc. You could look at joining these courses. Other then this, English is best learnt by constant practice. So make sure you converse with everyone around you ? friends and family only in English, listen to English news and watch English movies, read English newspapers and magazines and tell everyone around you to correct you if you make a mistake. There are however some industries where people are not that worried about your English skills e.g. Insurance sales - look more for selling capabilities. Finally, if you are not fluent in English at the time of an interview it is important you just accept where you are and try your best with the limited English you know as if you get too conscious you will mess up the interview anyway.

Deshmukh | February 23, 2009, 04:49 AM
Answer: Shikha, There are plenty of jobs that are suitable but first and most importantly you need to have the confidence that you are a bright and capable person. Do not let this minor handicap affect your self-esteem and stop you from choosing a job that is in your area of expertise. If you wish to find opportunities where communication through conversation is minimized (unlike front end HR), then you may consider a backend job like managing payroll, appraisals, attendance, new hire documentation maintenance, etc. HR in every industry needs people to run their backend processes. Therefore depending on which field you are interested and qualified for, there are plenty of opportunities to consider.

Question:   Dear Sir What will be the better option for an experineced working professional for distance learning eduaction? To do PGDBM from a reputed institute like symbosis OR To do MBA from an university which has lower value in reputation ?? Regards Jayesh ⇒Asked By: jayesh | February 22, 2009, 11:45 AM
Answer: Hi, It is extremely difficult to state as which is better as value or reputation can vary on different parameters. To elaborate on the above statement, If you define value is higher degree then definitely higher degree (viz. MBA) is more valuable from any institute than lower degree ( viz. Diploma). But if the definition of the value is on the basis of other parameters like job offer or placements after the course, infrastructure, faculty, industry interaction, overall curriculum, then even lower degree may score more in value. All the best!

Answer: Hi, it depends, if the telecom company handling the project also has a software wing then it will be handled by the telecom company itself. However if the telecom company outsources all its software needs to any IT/ software company then the project will be handled jointly by both the companies. It totally depends on the comapny policy. All the Best!
